Queensbridge’s mission is to maximize the long-term compound annual growth of its intrinsic value per share through a disciplined and concentrated investment approach. Additionally, a key component of the business involves structuring deals in the energy sector, leveraging my extensive network of contacts cultivated over 20 years in the industry.

Queensbridge Holdings, Ltd. is led by Rick Botley, who serves as its Investment Manager, overseeing all investment operations.

I bring over 20 years of trading experience in the energy sector, developed during my time at Shell Trading and later at a private firm, Navig8. My expertise spans identifying high-potential opportunities, managing risk, and driving value creation, both through investment management and strategic deal-making in energy markets. As the investment manager, I oversee Queensbridge’s asset and liability investments.

The bulk of Queensbridge’s portfolio is typically invested in 8 to 12 core holdings, focusing on liquid, publicly listed large-cap companies, predominantly in North America. My investment philosophy prioritizes high-quality businesses with strong fundamentals—those I believe offer limited downside risk, deliver consistent and predictable cash flows, and possess the potential for significant long-term value growth.

In parallel, I utilise my broad industry contacts—built over two decades in the energy sector—to structure deals that enhance the Company’s portfolio and create additional value streams. My approach to risk management involves meticulous selection of investments and thoughtful portfolio construction, typically adding only one to three new core positions annually. Additionally, I may employ hedging strategies to reduce market-driven risks or capitalize on unique profit opportunities.
